This project involved the design of 37.8 miles of 345kV, double circuit, transmission lines. G&AI’s scope of work included, GIS mapping with aerial photography for Public Utility Commission hearings, boundary surveying and subsurface utility engineering (SUE). The survey scope of work included GPS control survey, easement acquisition surveys with plats and field notes for right-of-way acquisitions, centerline/alignment staking, and right-of-way survey. At the request of the client, SUE was utilized to identify, locate and map existing underground utilities at each proposed angle location to insure the validity of the alignment. G&AI completed 37 permanent right-of-way documents, 18 temporary construction documents, and 11 off right-of-way access easement documents.
All phases were delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.
